* 990310 I've made an quick and dirty update for CuteFTP it should now work with version 2.8, be sure to turn off CuteFTPs internal clipboard montioring in FTP|Settings|Options

As you may have noticed I havent updated this page or SpeedyGonzales in a while. Due to a huge demand of an update, I will continue the developement of SpeedyG ASAP. Thanx for all the emails I've got from all users, I'm sorry that I havent had time to give personal answers to everyone.

At the moment SpeedyG lacks compability with most of its claimed FTP Clients. Some of them has implemented support for shortcuts so SpeedyG would seem obsolete. Now, the fact is that I dont like the way CuteFTP for example handles this, and many other programs has somekind of an akward way of doing this. SpeedyG will be continued ASAP.

What is Speedy Gonzales?

To get files from ftp-sites via webpages, can often be a pretty time consuming and boring procedure.

This little program will make your life a little easier!
Just right-click and copy (COPY SHORTCUT) on a ftp-link in your browser and Speedy Gonzales will

automatically launch your FTP client and fill in the correct information.
The only thing you have to do is to press the ok button to start connect.

 

This program is idealistic, when you are searching for mp3 files with the common search engines, or just using ftpsearch.
